I’m a Canadian SAHM (sometimes I work on weekends…) to a crazy-fierce little toddler, E (Smookie), who’s got a penchant for learning about herself, her boundaries and the world around her (while simultaneously giving me regular heart palpitations!). She’s a bundle of energy and keeps me on my toes, to say the least!! She is the embodiment of the term “SmookieStyle”–living life with fearlessness and verve. We also have two female cats, Bubba and Kitty. My husband is the most loyal person I have ever known and he takes good care of all of us.

My blogging idea came about when one of the Mommy Groups I participate in challenged its members to write an entry a day for a YEAR! I started out really good, thinking it would be a great way for me to document E’s second year…but I quickly got lost in the shuffle of life. And so, this blog has become a way to share things about E with my family and friends…and also a means of communication with the outside world (because sometimes I get wrapped up in ‘Mommy-ing’). Generally you’ll find that most of my blogging is done about my daughter and the crazy things she does. Lately it’s been more about the product reviewing. There’s a fine line of balance that I’m constantly searching for…
